I was thirty years old, pregnant with my first child and leaving the shores of my country of origin for the first time on an expatriate assignment.

It was 35 degrees centigrade the night I flew out of Nigeria and I arrived in the Netherlands in the heart of winter, and was lodged at a beautiful hotel next to the Scheveningen beach. All I had for winter was a light spring jacket with my cotton clothes under – talk about not arriving dressed for the occasion!

A Summer Wardrobe Edit to be remembered!

It was summer and I could finally travel after the pandemic lockdown.
